The Feb. 4 episode of Teen Mom 2 brought about some major changes in the lives of the MTV stars, beginning with Jenelle Evans, who made the bold decision to leave her mother’s house and move in with boyfriend Nathan Griffith.
Naturally, Jenelle’s decision to move in with Nathan — which is a huge step and shouldn’t be done lightly, by the way — was met with a bit of suspicion by Jenelle’s mother Barbara. After another one of their trademark fights, but by no means the biggest so far, Jenelle confirmed she’d made up her mind and was moving.
Now, here’s the rub: Because the show was filmed quite some time ago, and the girls’ every move is documented by the media, we know that Jenelle and Nathan are still together and happy. In fact, it was recently announced that Jenelle is pregnant with her second son, and she’s reportedly thinking of naming him Kaiser!
The situation certainly isn’t ideal — popping out a second baby with your new boyfriend, shortly after having an abortion, comes with its challenges — but it’s good to see Jenelle remaining somewhat stable through it all. You know, not including her recent arrest.
Leah Messer’s Devastating Discovery About AliannahLeah Messer sitting in the hospital with ex-husband Corey Simms is, unfortunately, an all-too-familiar scene for Teen Mom 2 fans, and this week marked one of their most tragic visits yet. Dr. Tsao confirmed that, not only does little Aliannah suffer from congenital muscular dystrophy, but she’ll need the assistance of a motorized wheelchair when she goes to school!
The look on both Leah and Corey’s faces said more than words ever could: These parents are devastated. Though Corey remained straight-faced as Dr. Taso relayed the unfortunate news, Leah looked like she was doing all she could to fight back tears. Leah and Corey may not be together romantically, but they’re still a united team as far as parenting is concerned.
Kailyn Lowry’s Nasty Fight With Ex-Boyfriend Jo RiveraMeanwhile, Kailyn Lowry‘s relationship with ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera reached an all-time low this week, as the former couple bickered in front of their son; poor Isaac had to stand there and listen as his parents argued about text messages. Kailyn eventually stormed off into the night with a dramatic “I’m leaving!” to which Jo angrily responded, “Thank God!”
The saddest part is that, as mad as Kailyn was with Jo, little Isaac looked thrilled to be spending the weekend at his dad’s house. Hopefully, these two can overcome their differences, because their negative attitudes can’t possibly be a good influence on Isaac.
On the plus side, Isaac’s potty training is coming along swimmingly, so… yay!
Chelsea Houska Works On Improving Co-Parenting Relationship with AdamChelsea Houska takes the mature — and necessary — steps towards improving her co-parenting relationship with Adam Lind by inviting him to the parent orientation at Aubree‘s new pre-school. Sadly, Adam continues his unreliable streak by showing up almost ten minutes late. Chelsea was already concerned about making a good first impression at the school and, as usual, is not hesitant to berate Adam for being late – or for his choice of attire!
After making it through the orientation the two exes appear to have a bit of flirtatious banter in the parking lot!
Before things get too chummy, Chelsea shares what date she has Aubree’s birthday party planned for when Adam questions why she’s throwing it three days early. Chelsea is quick to remind him that Aubree’s birthday is actually the day after the party. Yikes!
