Monique Lhuillier debuted her Fall 2014 collection during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center in NYC on Feb. 8, and as soon as we got a glimpse of the intricate designs it was clear that it would only be a matter of time before the gorgeous looks go from the runway to the red carpet!

Monique’s signature feminine creations were juxtaposed with architectural details, adding structure to the effortless collection. The result? Stronger, bolder looks that oozed both sexy elegance and gave off a romantic vibe. The intricate detailing and ethereal vibe that the designer is known for was still very visible in the collection as embroidered dresses and embellished creations came down the runway that incorporated delicate lace and illusion detailing. The romantic vibe was met with new textures, like leather, mink, and vinyl, to create a bold, sexy look.
Capes have proved to be a popular trend for more contemporary lines this season, and it continued in evening wear as Monique’s dresses incorporated capes and we've already seen stars rock capes on the red carpet! Both Katy Perry and fashion-forward newcomer Lupita N’yongo have shown off the silhouettes and we’re bound to see more stars try it now, too!
