Charlie White & Tanith Belbin: Inside Their Secret Sexy Olympic Romance

Olympic ice dancing duo Charlie White and Meryl Davis may look like lovers on the ice, but it’s all for show! Charlie is actually in a secret long-term relationship with gorgeous retired ice dancer Tanith Belbin.
Charlie White is head over skates in love with his girlfriend, model and former ice dancer Tanith Belbin. So why is he keeping their off-rink romance under wraps? It’s to give himself and ice dancing partner Meryl Davis a competitive edge in the 2014 Winter Olympics! “We take our on-ice relationships so seriously,” Charlie says.

Charlie White & Tanith Belbin Relationship: Inside Their Secret Olympic Romance
Charlie has been dating Tanith who was voted by Men’s Health magazine as the most attractive female Olympian at the Vancouver Games in 2010 for years, but when asked why he’s been keeping their love on the down low, he replied, ”It actually still is. So probably … we don’t really talk about it.”

“As an ice dancer, we take our on-ice relationships so seriously, and that’s really the way we like to go about it,” Charlie tells Yahoo.com. “[Meryl and I] are just presenting ourselves as a team, and all the rest of that [with Tanith] can wait for later.”

It seems that for ice dancing duos, making the judges believe in their love is often an integral part of the performance.

“Obviously [Meryl and I] get a lot of questions about whether the two of us are dating, and that’s a good thing, because that means we’re doing our job out on the ice. Meryl and I are oftentimes trying to portray people who are in love. We've always been great friends, and we have a special relationship, but we've never been romantically involved,” Charlie reveals.

When asked if her relationship with Charlie would conflict with her new job, she replied, “I do have an objective eye … to a certain degree, of course. I’m also nervous watching them skate. I want them to succeed.”
