Evangeline Lilly in Talks for Female Lead in Edgar Wright's Ant-Man

After making a name for herself on the insanely popular ABC drama series "Lost," the stunning Evangeline Lilly has made the jump to the big screen with pivotal roles in blockbusters like Real Steel and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Now she's poised to enter the world of Marvel as Variety has learned that Lily is currently in early talks to take the female lead in Ant-Man, the Phase Three film from Marvel Studios with Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead) directing. Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas have already been set to play two different iterations of the tiny titultar superhero as Hank Pym and Scott Lang respectively. More below!
There's no confirmation on just what character Lilly will be playing, but some of the trade's insiders are saying she will play Hank Pym's daughter, who will also be a love interest for Scott Lang. Comic fans will immediately note that Pym never had a daughter in the comics, but the comic book studio has taken plenty of liberties with other staple Marvel characters (see Mandarin in Iron Man 3), so this wouldn't be that big of a deal. Lilly certainly brought some much-needed female flare to The Hobbit trilogy, so we're interested to see what she can do for Marvel. Sound good?
