Kate Winslet Joining Chiwetel Ejiofor in John Hillcoat's Triple Nine

Last year we learned that Chiwetel Ejiofor and Casey Affleck were slated to take on Triple Nine, the crime thriller from director John HIllcoat (Lawless, The Road). Now the project finally has a female lead with Variety reporting that Kate Winslet has joined the film about a group of thieves who plan to kill a young LAPD officer to divert the police away from a daring heist they’re perpetrating across town. The title refers to the code used when a police officer needs assitance. We're assuming Winslet is taking the role Blanchett once had, because it was said the actress' schedule may not work for when production was slated to begin.
No word on whether or not Christoph Waltz or Michael B. Jordan are still involved, and the latter might end up being too busy with Fantastic Four if rumors are to be believed. As for Winslet, if she has Blanchett's role, she'll be on the opposite side of the law as a notorious mobster's wife who is the mastermind behind the whole heist. Ejiofor is the one who rounds up the crew to pull it off though. This sounds like it could be a hell of a crime thriller, and maybe an Oscar contender when the time comes.
UPDATE: Deadline has word that Open Road Films will distribute Triple Nine sometime in 2015, and they've also revealed the cast has also added "Breaking Bad" and Need for Speed star Aaron Paul, Fast & Furious franchise star and future Wonder Woman Gal Gadot, Warm Bodies love interest Teresa Palmer and End of Watch co-lead Michael Pena. In addition, Michael B. Jordan has been confirmed for the role he was previously reported to take. Still no word on if Waltz is still involved, but we'll find out soon.
